Last week, Rijkswaterstaat, the Directorate-General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands, signed with BESIX and BESIX Infra Nederland a four-year framework agreement for the preparation and execution of variable maintenance works for the South Netherlands road infrastructure system, consisting of a network of national highways and fixed bridges.
"We are extremely pleased to have signed a new form of four-year variable maintenance cooperation contract for pavements and artwork in the South-East region with Rijkswaterstaat. This contract emphasises, among other things, quality, sustainability and cooperation, because as one team Rijkswaterstaat, BESIX Infra Nederland & BESIX Nederland now bring together the best of three worlds in civil engineering works, pavements and maintenance management with all their knowledge & expertise. This will significantly improve the road network in Limburg to the benefit of the general safety and mobility of users", says Nic De Roeck, General Manager BESIX Nederland.
The award of this 40 million euros contract to the consortium BESIX-BESIX Infra Nederland is a tangible demonstration of the successful collaboration and synergies within BESIX Group.
