The Olympic Torch shines bright at Saint-Denis - Pleyel Station (France)

Thrilled to share that, today 26 July 2024, the Olympic Torch for the Paris 2024 Games has made its way through the Saint-Denis Pleyel metro station! This landmark was realised by BESIX and has been recently handed over to its client, the Société des Grands Projets.

The Saint-Denis Pleyel station, designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates, is a key node in the Grand Paris Express network, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and a stunning architectural design. With its strategic location, this station will serve as a vital transit hub, connecting athletes and spectators to the Olympic venues, including the Stade de France.

May 2024 vs July 2024

“Seeing the Olympic Torch pass through the station highlights our contribution to this historic event and underscores our commitment to excellence in every project. We are incredibly proud of the role we played in shaping the infrastructure for the Paris 2024 Olympics and beyond” adds Andres Peñaloza, Deputy General Manager BESIX Europe.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this monumental achievement!
