Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Marbled architectural splendor
From 2004 to 2007, BESIX and Six Construct worked on the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al Nahyan Grand Mosque. The teams completed the existing concrete structure, all architectural exterior and interior decorations, building services, arcades marble fixings and external works. As part of the structure, BESIX completed several domes, 48,000 m² in total. This architectural jewel is a superb visiting card for the Group in the UAE as well as internationally!

Second best landmark in the world, chosen by TripAdvisor Travelers

In May 2017, TripAdvisor, world’s largest travel site, published its Top 25 Landmarks Worldwide. Coming in at an impressive second place is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, praised for its grandeur and its unique architecture, the use of white marble and the beautifully maintained green gardens.

This is the most attractive project our company has ever undertaken in terms of quality, precision and complexity. Apart from the construction aspect, this worksite is a true work of art and of sculpture.... We can genuinely speak of a masterpiece. The work, spread over a three-year period, will be completed by the end of this year.
